Back in 2017 Brothers James and Joe threw around the idea to start roasting coffee. A day or two later we both pitched in to purchase a little 1-pound capacity electric roaster. It was basically a rotisserie oven with a rotating drum inside you fill with green coffee. After we decided roasting was pretty cool we recruited our older brother, Will. Like that, within a few months, we had a business co-owned by three brothers. Since then we’ve grown up a little, bought a commercial space, added a little capacity, and continued to improve our craft.

We’ve done this all with one goal in mind — roast great specialty coffee with a unique story, make it available to everyone and teach anyone about great coffee that is willing to listen to us.

The rest of our story is still being written and we are excited for you to be a part of it.

OUR NAME

We always had the idea that we wanted to provide high-quality, fresh-roasted specialty-grade coffee at affordable prices. Ya know… the kind of stuff only snobs can afford.

Snobs are something we most certainly are not.

We also wanted to be largely community-focused giving to whoever we can whenever we can all while providing a space to get a great cup of coffee.

Finally, we wanted to focus on green initiatives to keep a relatively small carbon footprint.

This got the ol’ wheels turning in our heads and made us think of Robinhood. A famous fictional rogue known by many for taking from the rich and giving to the poor. His birthplace being none other than… Loxley. The name is short, simple, and within it holds our core values.

OUR SPACE

In 2018 we bought a commercial building in our hometown, Fairmont, MN, over the course of a year we turned what was once a gas station and then a used car dealership into our roasting facility. We are very proud of the transformation and excited to call it our home for years to come.
